The NYSC Senate List is an official list of graduates approved and mobilized by their institutions for national service.
If your name is not on the list, you cannot proceed with NYSC online registration.
What is the NYSC Senate List?
The NYSC Senate List (also called the Academic Board List) is prepared by accredited tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
It contains names of qualified graduates, matriculation numbers, dates of graduation, and confirmation of eligibility for service.
Your school compiles the list and forwards it to NYSC for mobilization.
Only graduates on this list can register for NYSC.
NYSC Mobilization Timetable
Mobilization is done in Batches (A, B, and C) and divided into Stream 1 and 2.

How to Check Your Name on NYSC Senate List
Before checking, ensure you have the institution name, matriculation number, surname, and date of birth.
Also ensure you have completed final clearance, your name is on the JAMB matriculation list, and your institution has submitted the approved list.
Follow these steps to check your name online:
- Visit the official NYSC senate list portal.
- Select your institution.
- Enter your matriculation number.
- Enter your surname.
- Select your date of birth.
- Click “Search.”
If your name appears — congratulations.
If not, continue reading.

Please my Son just finished his HND in Civil Engineering with lower credit and I want to know what next he can do for him to be included in the NYSC Scheme. I decided to write in order to varify because the system now is different with our time in 1992.

To proceed, here are the key steps he needs to follow:
1. Obtain his Statement of Result or Certificate from his polytechnic.
2. Ensure his institution uploads his details to the NYSC portal through the official Senate/Academic Board list.
3. Register online on the NYSC portal when registration opens for the current batch.
4. As a polytechnic graduate, he must also ensure he has completed his ND program and Industrial Training, as these are required for mobilization.
If your son studied full-time and his school has cleared him for mobilization, he should not have any issues joining the NYSC scheme.
