Foreign Trained Graduates NYSC Registration Requirements 2026
Foreign-trained graduates who wish to participate in the National Youth Service Corps must complete additional verification procedures before mobilization.
Required Documents for Foreign-Trained Graduates
These original documents and photocopies are required for NYSC registration and mobilization:
1. Academic Credentials
- First Degree or HND certificate
- Complete official transcript
- Marksheet (for Indian universities only)
- O’Level certificate (WAEC, NECO, GCE, IGCSE, GCSE, High School Diploma, etc.)
2. Travel Documents
- Nigerian International Passport
- Entry visa to country of study
- Residence permit covering full period of study
- Date of departure from Nigeria
- Date of return after study
- Data pages of all international passports used during study
Graduates with dual nationality must upload and present all passport data pages used during their period of study.
Document Validity
These documents are not acceptable:
- Downloaded certificates
- Online result printouts
- Statement of result
- Attestation letters
- Scanned or photocopied credentials
- Professional certificates (e.g., ACCA, Oxford Brookes)
- Correspondence or online-only courses
TOP-UP programme candidates must upload their foundation certificates (e.g., OND, APTECH, NIIT).
Special Requirements for Medical and Health Professionals
Medical-related graduates must present a certificate of registration and valid practicing license from a relevant professional body.
Pharmacists must additionally provide an oath certificate and a letter of introduction from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
These documents must be presented at orientation camp.
NYSC Registration Steps for Foreign-Trained Graduates
Follow these steps:
- Visit the official NYSC portal.
- Create only one account (do not duplicate).
- Upload all required original documents.
- Select your preferred centre and date for pre-camp physical verification.
- Print your verification clearance slip after successful evaluation.
Failure to upload complete and valid documents may result in disqualification.
Pre-Camp Physical Verification
All foreign-trained graduates must undergo physical verification before mobilization.
Verification takes place at designated centres on selected dates.
Candidates must appear in person, present original certificates, present travel documents, and present passport(s) used during study.
Those who do not complete pre-camp verification will be verified at orientation camp.
Foreign Graduates Take Note
Do not send your credentials home after preliminary camp registration.
Remain at camp until your documents are physically verified.
Failure to comply may result in cancellation of registration.
Exemption and Exclusion Procedures
1. Exempted Foreign Graduates
Must present all uploaded documents at:
- Evaluation Division
- Corps Mobilization Department
- NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja
Only after verification will an exemption certificate be issued.
2. Excluded Graduates
Must also present original documents at NYSC headquarters before printing their exclusion letter online.
3. Armed Forces and Security Personnel
Foreign-trained graduates who are members of Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigerian Police, DSS, NIA, and DIA must upload a letter of enlistment, letter from command, and a service identity card.
