Married Women NYSC Registration Requirements 2026 (Batch A)
The National Youth Service Corps makes special provisions for married female prospective corps members.
If you are married, you may qualify for concessional deployment or relocation to your husband’s state of residence.
NYSC Registration Requirements for Married Women
During online registration, married women must indicate their marital status on the NYSC portal.
These documents are required:
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Marriage Certificate or Court Affidavit
- Newspaper Change of Name
- Husband’s Valid ID Card (National ID, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License)
- Husband’s Domicile or Local Government Identification Letter
- Utility Bill or Husband’s Employment Letter
- O’Level Result (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB)
Ensure all documents are scanned clearly before uploading.
Concessional Posting for Married Women
NYSC allows married female corps members to request posting to the state where their husband resides.
These are the documents required:
- Marriage certificate
- Husband’s employment letter
- Proof of residence (utility bill)
- NYSC call-up letter photocopy
- Letter of request
The NYSC portal may display: “Concessional Deployment Approval: Pending” while documents are under review.
Approval is often granted before camp opens.
What If You Are Posted to the Wrong State?
If you are posted to a different state despite uploading marital documents:
- Report to the orientation camp of your preferred state.
- Submit your marriage documents for verification.
- Follow up with camp officials.
- Await call-up letter update.
Remain calm — such issues are usually resolved after verification.
