NYSC Revalidation 2026: Starting Date and How to Apply
The National Youth Service Corps revalidation process comes up in every batch and streams.
You are expected to revalidate only if you were deployed by NYSC to a state, but because of one reason or the other, you couldn’t make it to the orientation camp.
The NYSC revalidation process is for prospective corps members who were previously deployed to an orientation camp but did not report.
If you were mobilized by the NYSC, given a call-up letter, and failed to attend camp, you are required to revalidate before you can serve.
Revalidation comes up in every batch (Batch A, B, and C) and stream.
What is NYSC Revalidation?
NYSC revalidation is the process that allows a prospective corps member who was deployed but did not report to camp to be reposted in a new batch or stream.
Example:
- Emeka was deployed in Batch A Stream 1 but did not report to the orientation camp.
- If he wants to serve in Batch A Stream 2, he must revalidate.
Who Should Revalidate?
You must revalidate if:
- You were deployed to a state but did not attend orientation camp.
- You printed your call-up letter but failed to report.
- You completed registration but skipped camp.
If you attended camp and later abandoned service, you do NOT revalidate — you remobilize instead.
The NYSC revalidation process is mostly automatic.
You do NOT need to register afresh, upload documents again, and create a new account.
Once the portal opens for the next batch, simply:
- Log in to your NYSC dashboard
- Click on “Revalidation”
- Confirm your details
- Submit
After approval, you will be reposted in the next stream or batch.
Does Revalidation Change Your State?
In most cases, your previously assigned state remains the same.
However, deployment is based on NYSC policy and quota, so your state may change.
You will need to monitor your dashboard and reprint your new call-up letter when notified.
Revalidation itself is free.
However, you may need to pay printing fees (if applicable) and cyber café service charges.
No additional registration fee is required.
Difference Between Revalidation and Remobilization in NYSC
| Revalidation | Remobilization |
| For those who did NOT attend camp | For those who attended camp but abandoned service |
| Automatic reposting | Requires application and approval |
| No fresh registration | May require documentation |
Conclusion
If you were deployed and missed camp, do not panic.
Simply wait for the next batch portal opening and revalidate through your dashboard.
Always ensure your login details are correct, your documents are intact, and you monitor the latest updates.
